I blogged a long time ago in college when it was all the rage. Something told me to look back at my early writing, and of course I was preaching body and self confidence at the ripe old age of 22. Enjoy!

Just a Thought…

I don’t know if people know this, but people on television do not exist. Even if you happen to see them in real life, they may just be a figment of your imagination and/or a close replica to what was seen on TV. (HD is evil, don’t believe the hype) These people have the magical power of real life airbrushing. Some people in this world are blessed with this natural talent. Keyword: some.

For some reason, women don’t know this. They watch unreal reality TV and see basketball/football/mob/hotel managers wives/girlfriends/exes/widowers walk around looking like actual supermodels and think that these women are real. With the help of spousal support yes, they are. What shocks me is that we as women are vicious to one another. We critique clothes, hair, looks, boyfriends, EVERYTHING all damn day but we will silently want to be the next chick. While the next chick silently wants to be you. It’s so much easier to love what you see. Mainly because what you see is what you’re getting for the rest of your life. There is nothing you can do to change that. Of course for a small fee of $6,000 I’m sure you can change some things, but if you’re not satisfied now, imagine the dissatisfaction of a botched Surgery. So take it in, because God has blessed you with a body, mind, and spirit…love it.

Even if no one sees the amazing you that you are. The most important thing is that you see it. Television is a fantasy land used for escape from the boring reality of our world. No one person on television is put there by accident, not even on the news. So let your flaws be perfect and your perfections be flawless. You answer to yourself before anyone else. Own it.
